Ware in Bloom is a Community led project established in 2008 to enhance the town for local residents, businesses and visitors of all ages.
Anglia In Bloom & Britain in Bloom
Since 2008 we have entered Anglia in Bloom, the regional element of Britain in Bloom and have moved from Silver in 2008 to Gold in 2014. This year we have been nominated as Britain in Bloom Finalists – a great achievement for a Community group. This is a new experience for us as these places have usually been to long established groups.
Plans for 2015
This year we have decided that not only will we maintain our existing activities (orphan beds, Amwell End, High Street Planters, St Mary’s Churchyard wall, but to have a few new high profile projects to highlight our community involvement and aim of making Ware welcoming to all.
The Team
Our team of volunteers undertake various gardening projects on town centre beds (mainly owned by Herts County Council). We plant up specialist planters along the High Street both winter and summer. We also liaise with our local groups and organise competitions for local schools, Nurseries, Scouts and Guides.
